Larimer Chorale :: Make our Garden Grow :Music of Leonard Bernstein

Make our Garden Grow Sun. 4/27 7:30p

West Side Story Concert Suite No.1; Dream With Me (Peter Pan); Make Our Garden Grow (Candide).

Leonard Bernstein is one of the most widely performed composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.  His compositions successfully bridge the divide between classical and popular idioms.  His music combines jazz-inspired energy, theatrical panache and an active stylistic eclecticism.  This concert celebrates the best of Bernstein's choral and vocal music...from the more austere Chichester Psalms, sung in Hebrew to the powerful concluding chorus from Candide, Make Our Garden Grow.
