Lincoln Center Special Event #11 :: "Weird Al" Yancovic - The Alpocalypse Tour

“Weird Al” Yankovic, the biggest selling comedy recording artist of all time, has returned to demolish the pop landscape with Alpocalypse.

Alpocalypse, Weird Al’s first full-length studio album in nearly five years, charted at #9 on Billboard – the highest debut of Weird Al’s storied career. Alpocalypse has been nominated for two 2012 Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album and Best Short Form Video for the Lady Gaga parody “Perform This Way.” 

Alpocalypse also features parodies of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, B.o.B Featuring Bruno Mars and T.I. The album’s requisite polka medley – “Polka Face” – features accordion-driven versions of songs by the biggest artists of the day, including Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, P!nk, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry. The album also features a fine assortment of Al originals.
