It's just amazing how an orchestra can change styles with the turn of a page. As a demonstration, our first Masterworks concert takes you from classical to blues to rock. Copland's beloved suite from the Martha Graham Ballet, Michael Daugherty's story of Quilters in Gees Bend Alabama, and William Grant Still's foot tapping symphony create a tasty slice of Americana Pie. And just for good measure an encore that Maestro Kenney commissioned in Virginia. Some soul satisfying listening!
